Most recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in a viral commercial from Netflix. In the advertisement, The Terminator actor rolled up to the Netflix headquarters on his Patton tank. After crushing and parking on top of a car, Schwarzenegger announced he had taken the mantle of Netflix’s new Chief Action Officer. The Hollywood icon then scrutinized an action sequence in the Extraction 2 trailer. In less than 48 hours, the commercial already has garnered 3.3 million views.
However, Chris Hemsworth, the MCU’s God of Thunder, felt the need to respond to the Austrian Oak. Earlier today, the Australian superstar took to Instagram to share Arnie’s Netflix commercial and responded to Schwarzenegger.

So far, 2023 is turning out great for Schwarzenegger. On May 25, his much-awaited Netflix series FUBAR will hit the streaming platform. Next month, on June 7, Arnie will narrate the three passes of his life in the docuseries Arnold. Hence, who better leads the announcement of several action-packed offerings that the streaming giant has lined up for audiences than Arnie?
In the video, the Chief Action Officer of Netflix analyzes a scene from the Extraction 2 trailer where Hemsworth bashes a bad guy with a riot shield. However, the former Mr. Universe didn’t seem impressed. “Hit ’em harder Hemsworth,” said Arnie. Now the Thor actor has responded to Schwarzenegger’s scrutiny of his action-hero prowess.
Chris Hemsworth responded to Arnie’s comment with his caption. “If it’s action Arnie wants, you’ve got it with Extraction 2,” Hemsworth wrote in his Instagram story. He also shared the viral commercial and tagged Netflix and the bodybuilding icon in his story. Shortly after Hemsworth posted the story, Arnie shared it.
However, the 75-year-old action cinema veteran didn’t write a caption. While he might have scrutinized the Extraction star’s hard-hitting capabilities in the trailer, he seems to trust in MCU’s God of Thunder to grant his wish for more action. However, before Hemsworth, it’ll be Arnie, who promises to dish out some high-octane action with FUBAR.
Age is just a number for the bodybuilding legend
Despite being 75, Arnold Schwarzenegger refuses to slow down. Besides working out regularly, Schwarzenegger prepared himself to play a government special agent on the verge of retirement. Arnie channeled his 80s action icon energy to keep up with actors half his age and did most of his action scenes himself.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in a previous statement, Arnie said, “People ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like True Lies. Well, here it is.” Schwarzenegger also mentioned that some plot elements from his 1994 blockbuster were a massive inspiration for FUBAR. Hence, it’s safe to expect the bodybuilding legend’s upcoming show to contain some bombastic action sequence.
