Eight times, Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman made sure to leave a lasting legacy before he retired from the sport of bodybuilding back in 2007. Apart from Lee Haney, Coleman is the only bodybuilder in the history of the sport to lift the Sandow trophy eight times. Often considered ‘The King’ of bodybuilding, Coleman is a reputed name in the bodybuilding sphere and is often present at bodybuilding shows as a guest and even as a judge at times.
After his retirement from the sport, Coleman has still managed to live in the hearts of the fans. As the 2023 Mr. Olympia is just days away, Ronnie Coleman posted an update on his Instagram account, revealing that he would be present at the event.

Ronnie Coleman, who is a retired police officer as well has been lifting since his childhood years. Inheriting unbelievable bodybuilding genetics from his mother, Coleman built a whopping physique at a very young age. However, he did not start competing professionally for a very long time. It was after the time when he became a police officer that he was suggested by a close friend to try his luck in bodybuilding. Making an unbelievable appearance, he soon shifted to being a full-time bodybuilder.

As the Mr. Olympia 2023 is about to start in a few days, Coleman announced that he would be present at the Olympia event which is being held in Orlando on November 03th and 4th. The rhetorical post read, “Who won the Mr. Olympia more times than me?”

He continued by disclosing that he would be present at the RC supplements booth as well, which is his own supplement line. Apart from his own supplement line, Coleman also has a bodybuilding competition named after him.
Ronnie Coleman Classic: one of the longest-running shows in Texas
Due to his years of intense and hard-core training, Coleman is unfortunately in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. However, despite all the trauma that he has faced over the years, ‘The King’ always carries a big smile on his face and is a very fun and optimistic person to talk to. Coleman still trains at the Metroflex Gym, which is owned by Brian Dobson, who was Coleman’s coach back in the day and is also his very close friend.

While announcing the Ronnie Coleman Classic a few months back, Dobson and Coleman posted a video on their social media accounts. It was during this video that Dobson said that the iconic event is “probably one of the longest-running shows ever, in the state of Texas, if not the longest-running.”
