Samson Dauda might not have won Mr Olympia this year, but he did take other competitions like the EVLS Prague Pro and Romania Pro by storm. Despite only coming in at third in the marquee event, he proved his mettle by winning these titles back-to-back, reminding the bodybuilding world of the talent that he possessed.

Recently Dauda gave an update about the upcoming Arnold Sports festival, prompting bodybuilding legend Rich Gaspari to talk about his chances at the upcoming Mr. Olympia.

The video posted on Instagram showed the Nigerian Lion showing off his monster muscularity in front of the mirror, with his glutes looking phenomenal. He also struck some poses that people usually go gaga over when he is on stage. Rich Gaspari was among the first people to comment on the video. He wrote, “Unbelievable shape! The changes you have made are great! These improvements will get you that Olympia title.”

Dauda replied to the former bodybuilder with a couple of emoticons that signified his gratitude.In the video, Dauda had written, “We don’t hit the brakes. We only ease off the throttle. 12 weeks out @arnoldsports.” It definitely seemed like the 2023 Arnold Classic winner was eyeing the title this year as well. 

This is not the first time that the 60-year-old Hall of Famer complimented the Nigerian Lion. He had earlier commented on a previous post, predicting the results of the 2023 Mr. Olympia.

Rich Gaspari calls Dauda his favorite bodybuilder

The Dragon Slayer had earlier said that Samson Dauda was his personal favorite among all the bodybuilders. Posting a picture with Dauda, Gaspari wrote, “Here is one of my favorite bodybuilders of today’s era @samson__dauda This guy is not only massive but symmetrical, and most impressive is his density.”

Gaspari had further predicted that Dauda would win the Olympia while adding “top 3 minimum!” Dauda did live up to Gaspari’s expectations when he took home the third spot. Dauda had even reposted Gaspari’s post and talked about how grateful he was to meet the legend who was also supporting him.
