Hence, to avoid such injuries, the IFBB Pro bodybuilder, John Jewett, shared some very crucial guidelines on how to approach squats accurately.

The former IFBB Pro bodybuilder had been a powerlifter before his career in bodybuilding. Jewett had qualified for the 212 division of Mr. Olympia three times. The former bodybuilder is now a fitness influencer and often addresses his fans about how to approach their fitness journeys.

John Jewett’s advice for quad growth

In one of his latest Instagram posts, John Jewett talked about how to get the most out of one’s squat for quad growth, fitness enthusiasts must keep a check on their knee bends. He stated, “Get more quad growth out of your squats,” then proceeded to add how ankle mobility is a crucial element. He suggested using a platform wedge while doing the squats. He also added, “If you can’t back squat, we can also use a safety squat bar which will keep you more upright.”

Furthermore, the former bodybuilder wrote in the caption a summary of elements that were necessary in the process of the squat. Hence he wrote, “Ankle mobility. Pick the right squat bar that allows your torso to stay upright. Keep a good core brace.” He then proceeded to promote how every rep can be a purposeful step towards one’s growth.

As a competitive bodybuilding expert, John Jewett has his philosophy of the diet transition that a bodybuilder has to go through in their off-seasons.

John Jewett’s advice on how to go about an off-season meal

In one of his Instagram posts, Jewett shared his opinion on how to make an off-season meal, combining white rice with oatmeal. He stated in the caption of his post, “On prep, we are looking to manage hunger and uphold fiber intake But as you transition into off-season hunger is lessening, and food volume is rising,”. Then the bodybuilder went on to give a detailed description of how to make oatmeal as per his recipe.
