Lee Priest seems to be very irritated about something. The veteran bodybuilder, who was brought up by a fellow bodybuilding mother, does not like what the new generation is doing on the fitness front. His annoyance with especially men using a particular machine was evident in the new video on YouTube. The champion who defeated the 8-time Mr. Olympia icon trained intensely hard during his prime days and maybe that is why the lack of hard work in this era irks him.

Let’s see why he was angry and what made him say the things he said. Priest was straightforward in his verdict and straight up criticized men in the gym for this one exercise.

The YouTube short video saw the Blonde Myth speak about a specific exercise known as hip thrusts. He complained, “The people doing the hip thrusts with the bar or that butt machine. The amount of people to get on that even the men. I’m like fu** why? Go do squats you’re a man. Stop fu** hip thrusting into the air. Jesus.”

He was annoyed and thought that it was a straight abomination towards even the almighty! Hip thrusts are done with a deadlift bar weight on top of the thighs, which is then lifted by the strength of the hips and thighs. This strengthens the glutes and hips. However, the champion, who hates people who go to the gym to show off, does not prefer this exercise. Priest has always been brazen about these things, which also led him to be banned from the IFBB for exposing dark bodybuilding secrets during his prime, but he still stands by his morals.

He is dedicated to bodybuilding and does not like people playing around with it and mocking it in any way. He had previously even shed light on the difference between a bodybuilder and a fitness influencer.

Priest surprisingly said that he does not believe it to be negative because the youth want to reach a specific level and want to be bodybuilders. However, he also pointed out poignantly that, “If you just want to go to the gym and be an influencer that’s fine but if you want to be a bodybuilder who’s going to compete in that you don’t need your f*ck*ng phone in the gym.”

He differentiated between a bodybuilder who wants to compete and one who just wants to get fit. The scenario changes depending on their goals and aspirations and he even advised influencers for their benefit. “It’s always good if you want to do it maybe train first compete if you get a few titles behind you you know if you got it then you get a little bit of a name for yourself people are going to listen to you more,” he emphasized.
