Bodybuilder Iain Valliere announced his retirement from the competitive arena in September 2023. The Canadian athlete, who also happens to be Chris Bumstead’s brother-in-law is also responsible for introducing the legend to bodybuilding when he was 19 years old. Known for focussing his energy more on CBum than himself, Valliere trained Bumstead, and under his guidance, the Canadian bodybuilder won three Mr. Olympia titles.
Following his retirement, Iain Valliere has opened up about the sacrifices he made throughout his career. He shared insights into the challenges he faced when he started and during competitions. He detailed what he went through to make it all worth it.

Moving forward, the former pro bodybuilder Fouad Abiad posted a video on his YouTube channel with the latest episode of ‘Bro Chat’ with Iain Valliere, Mike Van Wyck & Paul Lauzon. Abiad communicated with with Valliere about his retirement and the sacrifices one makes to achieve their goals.
The Canadian bodybuilder provided a precise answer that reflects the things he has missed out on while building his career in bodybuilding, “I think someone that’s lived their life not as a pro bodybuilder for 15 years might think like what’s the big deal? but when you’ve had like where you’ve had to miss so many moments in your life.” The IFBB pro talked about how bodybuilders, during the Olympia weekend, follow a strict routine. they dedicate themselves to being on top.

While Valliere was expressing his perspective, Abiad pointed out and stressed, “It’s funny when you say it’s that you say this now because it’s something you don’t realize until you retire.” Valliere continued with his response, agreeing with Fouads’ statement, he said, “You literally don’t it’s you can’t realize it until you retire.”
Bodybuilders often push themselves to an extreme, risking injury as they rigorously train to attain a certain type of physique. The pursuit of an ideal shape sometimes leads them to the point of causing harm during training rigorously. Notably, a similar case occurred with Cbum, who injured his lat ten weeks before the Olympia. Additionally, Nick Walker’s hamstring tear led hun to exit from the show.
