Nick ‘the Mutant’ Walker’s journey to clinch the top spot during Mr. Olympia 2023 came to a halt when he was hit by an injury. Walker tore his Hamstring a few days before the marquee event and tried to recover from the injury beforehand, but unfortunately, despite his efforts, it only got worse.

After revealing his injury, the bodybuilder received mixed responses from fans. While many expressed their hopes for a quick recovery, some engaged in speculation about what had actually happened. In a recently uploaded video on his YouTube channel, he addressed these rumors spreading in the bodybuilding community. Walker also expressed his frustration and set the record straight. He emphasized that before making assumptions, people should have their facts straight.

Nick Walker takes a stand for himself

In his latest video, Walker indulged in ‘chest and bicep’ training. In between the sessions, he aimed to clarify the situation, and shed light on his determination to fitness and “road to recovery.” Even, during this difficult condition he has continued putting in his all and ensuring that he works out.

The 29-year-old bodybuilder said, “So you guys know, I train pretty much still like RP strength and now I’ve read some comments. That is certainly not why I got injured.” He continued and stated, ” No one trains the way I train you know, not to be a d*ck but no one has that control, it’s just that you don’t see it. Freak accident, you know I mean, it literally could have happened to anyone.”

Walker also mentioned how the reactions of some individuals affected him amid the emotional and physical pain he was already dealing with. However, his current goal was to clear the air and let everyone know that he is working even harder to recover. Earlier, Walker gave an insight into how he was dealing with different exercises at the moment.

Walker still puts in the effort despite the injury

The formidable contender talked about how he was pushing pretty hard but could not do his routine on the bike because the bending motion was too much. “I can’t do stairs um even though it’s not really a bending motion, it’s just still too much pressure,” he added.

Since his injury, doctors recommended he use a wheelchair till he fully recovers. It has been a roller coaster for him, and despite putting in all his effort he was not able to walk properly. Walker also said that his bruise getting red was a sign of it getting better.
