These icons often struggle to take care of their sleep and end up being diagnosed with this sleeping disorder.

On the Cutler Cast YouTube channel, Jay Cutler and the host for the day, Matt, talked about sleep apnea, a common issue nowadays. In the video, both shared their personal experiences and spread awareness about this serious sleeping disorder. The duo discussed the significance of sleep and how the sleeping disorder is hampering the performance of athletes.

Matt, in the interview, broke the ice about sleep apnea and said, “I don’t know technically; I mean, sleep apnea has been around a long time, but it’s more it’s prevalent now, and not many are talking about it”. “If you don’t sleep, you don’t grow.” Manager Matt further discloses his unusual sleeping patterns and expresses his amazement at the fact that more people don’t talk about this disorder. In response, Cutler says, “Dude, ten years ago we never heard a sleep apnea, you know.”

According to Matt, sleep apnea has been one of the major health issues for a long time, and it has been affecting the lives of many. Responding to Matt, Cutler revealed that “it’s a very large discussion in our industry” and asked Matt what some of the triggers of this sleep disorder were. Answering the question, Matt mentioned that snoring, being tired, waking up, tossing, and turning a lot are the symptoms of the disorder. He further said, “I used to wake up choking, so I knew it like I’ve coughed blood before.”

Undeniably, sleep apnea is quite a serious problem that many other bodybuilding beasts suffer from. Recently, Nick Walker disclosed that he’d been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and to modulate his breathing, he’d been using CPAP.

Jay Cutler’s health tips for quality sleep

Jay Cutler regularly gives health tips to his followers. According to him, taking care of one’s health is important, and it becomes even more crucial when one crosses his or her 40s. He hinted at the importance of getting proper sleep to lead a healthy lifestyle. He suggests that people should avoid heavy meals before sleeping. This is because it boosts digestion, enhances gut health, and promotes good sleep. Sleep comes first for him.

Apart from getting good sleep, he suggests a fast cardio workout is effective in keeping the body away from several health issues, such as controlling blood sugar, lowering blood pressure, helping in weight loss, enhancing mental ability, etc. “We talk alot about fat loss and fasted cardio, but what a lot of people don’t appreciate is how good it is for digestive health,” the athlete stated.
