If there is one bodybuilder that fans want to see back on the bodybuilding stage, it’s Kai Greene. Greene departed abruptly but has kept himself in phenomenal shape for years. Every year, rumors emerge about his imminent return to the Olympia stage. However, the bodybuilding icon neither substantiates those rumors nor does he compete. This time, former Mr. Olymia Jay Cutler made a hilarious comment on Greene’s potential return.

Earlier, the official Instagram account of Dave Palumbo’s RxMuscle asked fans who among Kai Greene and Big Ramy is more likely to return to the Olympic stage in 2024. While many bodybuilders and fans commented on the post, Jay Cutler’s hilarious comment won the day.

The only man to avenge his loss on the Olympia stage and reclaim his title, Jay Cutler didn’t beat around the bush. “Better chance of me coming back for the 24 Mr. Olympia,” wrote the 50-year-old. While the Comeback Kid completed the Fit-for-50 challenge, put on muscle, and got shredded, his current shape is a far cry from his bodybuilding prime.

However, the rumors of Kai Greene’s return have appeared so many times that Jay Cutler probably ran out of patience. While RxMuscle also included Big Ramy in the post, everyone focused on Greene. The Mr. Olympia runner-up himself posted a few emoticons, yet again fuelling the fire. However, the clock is running out on the fan favorite’s much-anticipated return.

While still in phenomenal shape, the Arnold Classic winner is 48. With time it’ll only get harder for Greene to keep up with competitors like 36-year-old Hadi Choopan and 29-year-old reigning Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford. Many fans agreed with the four-time Mr. Olympia.

The disillusionment is sinking in

After Jay Cutler, Australian bodybuilding icon Lee Priest made a similar comment. However, he claimed that even Big Ramy has silently retired for good. “Jesus, I’m more likely then these two,” commented Priest. “LMAO! Jason Genova has a higher chance competing than Kai this year,” wrote another fan. Jason Genova is an infamous YouTuber and bodybuilder who bodybuilding fans love to criticize on the internet.

“We will see Biden vs. Trump on stage before Kai,” joked another fan. “Kai is never gonna compete again,” wrote one fan. He was convinced that Greene prefers being in nearly stage-ready shape. “He just likes being huge and keeping everyone in suspense,” the fan added. What do you think? Is Jay Cutler right?
