Shaw is one of the few athletes who have been exploring different adventures since retiring from dominating the Strongman world in 2023. Since then, he prepared for an MMA fight, but unfortunately, the fight was postponed. Let’s see what he had to say about this.
Shaw expressed frustration about the postponed MMA fight
The four-time World’s Strongest Man had geared up for his MMA debut against Martyn Ford on Feb 17, 2024, in Qatar, but the event got postponed. Shaw confirmed the cancellation on YouTube, expressing frustration: “It looks like the February 17th date for my fight is, at the bare minimum, going to be postponed. Not great news coming out of this meeting. I’m frustrated and pissed off.”
The event was to feature Shaw against Ford, with Eddie Hall and Mitchell Hooper also scheduled to battle, and the winner facing Shaw. Despite rigorous training with experienced coaches, Shaw was disappointed by the cancellation: “When I go into anything, I go in 100%. I don’t know how to do it any differently than that, and this is no exception.”
He emphasized that he always puts in his full effort and commitment to any endeavor undertaken. Just like he showcased while attempting a hip-hop dance with his friend. What do you think about his postponed fight and his new desire to dance? Let us know in the comments.
