The Austrian-born Arnold Schwarzenegger?arrived in his dreamland, the United States Of America, in 1968. However, the seven-time Mr. Olympia received his citizenship three years after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1983. After spending 40 years as a citizen of the United States of America, Schwarzenegger still celebrated the country that made him successful every year. In his newsletter, the?bodybuilding?legend stated that Independence Day is?“one his favorite” holidays.

Later, the former Governor of California posted about celebrating the 4th of July on Instagram. While Schwarzenegger praised his country, he also subtly lamented about a specific thing and sent his followers an?“official reminder.”

Earlier, the five-time Mr. Universe uploaded an image wishing a happy Independence Day to his 26.4 million Instagram followers. However, the photograph Arnie uploaded gave the phrase?“wear your heart on your sleeves”?a new meaning. In the snapshot, the 75-year-old fitness icon posed in front of a massive bear statue.

He grabbed one of the arms of the bear statue, but what caught everyone’s eye was his outfit. Arnie wore a jacket that was basically the American flag. He also wore a similar hat and a pair of sunglasses.?“Happy 4th of July! I was born in Austria, but I am Made in America,”?wrote the Austrian Oak. However, the rest of the caption was a reminder to his followers.?“Consider this your official reminder,”?wrote the bodybuilding icon.?“Put your phone down, turn off the social media, get outside, BBQ, and spend some time with your friends and family,”?added the 75-year-old.

Though Arnold Schwarzenegger uses social media to promote his fitness newsletter, it’s for a good cause. The former Mr. Olympia is also aware of how social media overuse has affected Americans. Hence, even in his celebratory post, Arnie asked his followers to take a break from their screens. He also shared his plans in his newsletter.
