One such incident recently unfolded, shared by popular TikToker and fitness influencer, JMack, on his profile. With a touch of humor, JMack recounted his ambitious endeavor to surpass his personal record (PR) while working out with his dad at his college gym, resulting in an epic failure that left him and his followers in stitches.

Father-Son bench press challenge: Johnny falls short, dad takes the spotlight

Johnny recently took to his TikTok wall and shared a video of himself with his father doing bench presses in his college gym. He captioned it, “Thanks for showing up at my gym Dad 😂”.

As the video emerges, the famous father-son duo head on to lift their bench press records. Johnny goes first and starts lifting one rep of 315 lbs, followed by another rep of 325 lbs, and eventually fails at 365 lbs. After Johnny is done showing his feats of strength, his dad takes over all pumped and ready to break his records!

Johnny started his exercise routine by lifting 405 lbs for four repetitions, then progressed to 500 lbs for five reps, and finally tackled 550 lbs for two reps, all without any assistance. To Johnny’s surprise, his dad began his workout with a weight even heavier than what Johnny had struggled with. His dad’s grand finale was a jaw-dropping repetition of 585 lbs. Johnny couldn’t help but be amazed by his father’s incredible display of strength. This wasn’t the first time his dad had left him in awe; they had previously stunned viewers with their father-son challenge on TikTok.

Johnny sets the bar, but dad takes it to new heights

A few days ago, Johnny and his father took up the “Dad starts where I fail challenge” for shoulder presses. In the challenge, Johnny starts with 2 reps of shoulder press with 135 lbs, followed by 2 reps of 225 lbs, and then 1 rep each of 250 lbs and 260 lbs. He then goes on to hitting his PR of 275 lbs but failing in it.

Johnny’s father then takes over and begins his set with 275 lbs pulling out 2 reps and then followed by 1 rep each of 315 lbs and 365 lbs. He then finally moves on to his PR and successfully pulls off 2 clean reps of 405 lbs, stunning his son one more time. What is your take on the father-son duo?
