Bodybuilding is a sport where the entities are expected to construct magnificent physiques. However, like any other sport, it also calls for competitiveness which is answered by contests like Mr. Olympia or Arnold Classics, where bodybuilders exhibit themselves to let the judge compare them with all the other participants and choose a winner. However, not all bodybuilders chase after those titles, some spend their time and effort only to enjoy the mere pleasure of the journey without expecting a prestigious recognition.

The CEO of Gym Positivity, Joey Swoll, is known as a famous fitness influencer. He often posts videos on his social media only to rectify various misconducts people perform at the gym. Nonetheless, his well-constructed body is another element that adds to his fame, if not the chief one.

Joey Swoll reveals why he hasn’t pursued the stages

In his latest video on Flex’s YouTube channel @FlexLewisStraightOuttaTheLair, Flex Lewis is joined by Joey Swoll. In the video, When Flex asks Swoll why he has chosen to be a fitness influencer over being chased after the stage, Swoll makes an astounding confession. He says, “I just I love to train. I love the sport. I just wanted to build a brand, build a business make money, be able to take care of my family. And if the stage came, the stage came but the other thing too is.”

Joey continued to mention the thorough reasons that kept him from joining the stage. Swoll mentions that he needed to care for their family when he was required to be selfish. He remarks, “I wasn’t able to give the time and the selfishness. That requires to be as successful as I would want to be.”

Although Joey Swoll is not prominently seen on stage, he actually had his own take at a decade ago. He deliberately shares his experience with Flex to interweave his career decisions.

Joey Swoll talks about his Stage experience

Swoll states that he actually took part in a stage contest back in 2009. He declares, “I did the Illinois State which was a show Phil Heath actually guest posed.” He then continues to show the audience by revealing that he in fact had done a few shows from 2009 till 2012. But soon after that, he started understanding his own interests and priorities when it came to a choice between hectic ambition and a satisfying life with family.

Joey Swoll is known to have dedicated his life to the betterment of the gym community. Time and again he has proved his high standards when it came to ethics and life as a whole. His decisions keep him away from the competitive world of bodybuilding stage, he is still winning at life and enjoying what he does.
