The modern and rapidly evolving landscape of social media often molds one’s online identity, which leads to public mockery. Joey Swoll, the CEO of Gym Positivity, is trying to set better standards through his social media and to change the negative attitudes we often witness in the world.
Swoll recently took to his Instagram to share a video showcasing a concerning display of negativity shown by the netizens. In the video, a netizen can be seen filming a guy working out without his shirt on. He came to the defense of the man, bashing the netizen filming him and mocking him publicly.

“If you are not wearing a shirt, can you at least have muscles?” The netizen teased the man for not being muscular enough. Swoll then responded, saying it’s okay if you prefer a gym where everyone keeps their shirt on. But in this gym, that’s not the rule. Therefore, by choosing to join this gym, you accept its atmosphere, making it inappropriate to mock others based on that choice. He emphasized the importance of following rules, which the individual was not doing.

Additionally, he noted that the person filming the man without his permission was a violation of the gym’s guidelines. Furthermore, when others attempted to defend the man, the netizen arrogantly ignored them and insulted them as “keyboard warriors.” Swoll concluded that you brought this upon yourself.
He emphasized the importance of addressing the issue face-to-face rather than filming someone behind their back and mocking them on social media. Swoll added that actions have consequences, leading to the netizen’s membership being canceled after Swoll discussed the matter with the gym owner. He ended with his signature statement,” You need to do better; mind your own business.”
This is not the first time Swoll has intervened to teach someone a lesson for mocking people online.
