Bodybuilding is a sport where previous bodybuilding champions impart their knowledge and accomplishments as motivation for the upcoming talents to follow. Whether they pursued it later in life or from an early age varied from person to person, and the acquired experience and technique that they attained on the way helped build their career deliberately.

The three consecutive runner-up of Mr, Olympia, Rich Gaspari, was interviewed by the seven-times Fitness Model of the Year, the Titan, Mike O’Hearn. The interview attests to the marvelous journey of Rich in his youth.

In his latest Tweet, Mike O’Hearn posted a recent interview with Rich Gaspari. As early as his teen days, Rich showed immense interest in exercising at gyms. By the time he just crosses the threshold of 20, he had become a professional bodybuilder. Hearn thus asks him to share his early experience in the field. Gaspari proudly remarks, “You know, what I did is I set a new standard in being the most ripped bodybuilder. You know, I was the first bodybuilder with striated glutes.”

The IFBB pro, Rich Gaspari, further declares how he had become a trendsetter. He announced, “You wanna be able to do everything you can in your power, to make yourself win. That was, even if it was like at 3% aspect but I believe it was war. because doing that set me at another level.” When Mike asked him if he would be equally willing at just 1%, Rich retorted, “When you are at that pro level, it’s so much highly competitive level that even 1% would make you do something that you do to try to win.”

The interview also reports some real subtlety of bodybuilding facades that most people easily fail to think of. Both bodybuilding beasts reflected the necessity of taking care of one’s skin.

Rich Gaspari talks about the importance of skincare

In the interview, when Mike asks Rich about something unique that the latter considered doing as a youngster, Gaspari emphasized the significance of taking care of skin. He vividly expresses how he supervised it himself when he was young. He states, “Skin is really, really important. At a young age, I started putting on creams, soaks in to keep your skin more moist. And moisture is really important.”

Bodybuilding is a sport of exhibition. Millions of people try to make their career in it desperately, but only a few can achieve their dreams. Due to its requirement of excessive physical efforts and strictness regarding it, many aspirants bite the dust. But those who overcome all the troubles thrown at them stand graciously on the stage and start their own legacy. Rich, as the first bodybuilder to have striated glutes, thus had set his standards high.
