Paul Baxendale is an idiosyncratic bodybuilder, scholar, and philosopher. Recently on Instagram, the mass monster posted a picture, along with a caption giving due credit to his mentors Johnny Fuller and Dorian Yates who edified him to the realm of bodybuilding. Paul won the IFBB 1993 British finals. In the bargain, the mass monster conferred the pennyworth of Johnny Fuller in his bodybuilding career. Though, 6x Mr. Olympia, Dorian Yates trained him, the benefaction of Fuller cannot be masked out of sight. 

Baxendale owns a blog, wherein he posts philosophies life taught him. Moreover, he runs a podcast referred to as, ‘From Bodybuilding to Philosophy’, wherein he delves into the depths of literature, history, mythology, and spirituality.

In a recent post by Paul Baxendale, referring to the the four Mr. Olympia contests in 1981 and 1983, he says,Johnny Fuller was the man who first showed me the real world of the gym, training and nutrition, my first real mentor in Bodybuilding in the 80’s,”. Bexendale goes on unfolding the layers of heavy-duty training run by Fuller, wherein he adjures Paul to perform a random number of sets and reps. Thus, he was entitled to stop when he was completely exhausted. 

Baxendale talked about the legend, who competed against Arnold Schwarzenegger, saying, “Normally though, workouts would last around 3 hours and I just stopped counting sets and kept going until he said we were done.” The mass monster recollects about his escapades and wisdom deciphering his stories, advice, and theories encircling the bodybuilding arena. Baxendale takes the trip down memory lane articulating Fuller inclining against the wall in his white polo shirt, exaggerating his face off with Arnold and Franco.

“Paul, don’t ever run when you can walk; don’t ever walk when you can stand still; don’t ever stand when you can sit and don’t ever sit when you can lie down,” recalls Baxendale, referring to one of the old school enlightenment gained from one of the eminent bodybuilders of Britain.

Paul Baxendale captioned his Instagram post by mentioning, As well as train together, we ate together and even worked together as security for a nightclub in town; the only times I ever went to a nightclub in my life I’ve been working!”
