Thorugh his Newsletter, the Cutler Club, Cutler shares how prolonged training of the same routine creates potential for growth. He suggests training with high volume, slowly increasing it for 3 weeks with the same routine, and then deloading from the fourth week. According to him, this is because “The central nervous system needs time to develop a “connection” with exercises – this explains why each block keeps the order much the same.”

Every three to five-week block of high training in his club uses almost similar exercises. The variables are only the number of sets and the weight depending on the goal of the athlete. He advises repeating the cycle several times again to get better results. He wrote, “The only thing that matters is that you’re getting a little bit stronger each time you repeat it.”
