Dr. Stefi Cohen is a 31-year-old powerhouse athlete who has just shattered age-old barriers in bodybuilding. She is a 25-time world record powerlifter, physiotherapist, and fitness influencer. She became the first woman to deadlift 4.4 times heavier than her weight. With her strong muscles and ripped physique,  she has also regularly challenged traditional beauty standards. However, after making a name for herself in bodybuilding and powerlifting, she later turned to boxing.

Surprisingly, after joining combat sports, Cohen continues to stun and redefine expectations in a field often dominated by men. Recently she shared an update about her secret to strength training. These are a lot of achievements in a lot of different arenas for one person. But guess what if you asked Dr. Cohen, she would tell you, “less is more.”

Cohen took to her official Instagram page and shared a carousel of her workout routine. She has been performing four different regimes and has a neat little trick to continue everything she does without a setback. Dr. Cohen believes that strength comes from having a sharp nervous system. According to her, one doesn’t have to push their body too hard to stay strong, being inclined to do less can also be more beneficial.

 

“I realized that less is more when it comes to strength training. I used to obsess over never skipping a single session and making sure I’m training as hard as possible all of the time,” she mentioned in her latest Instagram post. She emphasized quality over quantity during strength training and stressed the importance of maintaining stability without overtraining.

Cohen hasn’t just employed her learnings in the field of bodybuilding. After earning a name and a following in powerlifting, she ventured into boxing in 2021 and found success in the field as well.

The former powerlifter confessed in one of her Instagram posts that powerlifting consumed her, but she wanted a new challenge. Despite facing difficulties and training rigorously for months, her first boxing match got canceled due to some issues. It was disappointing for her, but she learned that sometimes things don’t go as planned.

Instead of giving up, she decided to keep practicing, and she realized that there would be another chance to prove herself. Regardless of hitch she stayed determined and fought for the first time with Haydee Zapa. This battle turned out to be victorious for Cohen. Later, in the same year, she fought with Marcela Nieto and it was a draw between the athletes. However, in her next combat, she won again. She fought with passion and later dominated the sport with her prowess and strength.
