Chris Bumstead was preparing for this year?s Mr. Olympia diligently, even after having a bicep tear and suffering from an autoimmune disease. He did not stop his training and created the best physique that was possible for any bodybuilding champion. Yesterday on the 4th of November, The classic physique?championships took place for the prestigious competition and 35 participants conquered the stage. The pre-judging round saw 35 bodybuilding champions fight for the title. Only six bodybuilding icons were called out after the pre-judging round.?

The list began with 4 time Olympia winner Chris Bumstead. Then it continued to include Urs Kalecinski, Breon Ansley, Terrence Ruffin, Ramon Dino, and Marcus Perry in the same particular order. Despite a rocky start to the training and an autoimmune disease, Chris Bumstead ultimately won his fifth title. However, Greg Doucette is concerned that this might be his last win.

He uploaded a YouTube video immediately after the classic physique category ended and Chris Bumstead won the Sandow trophy. He started his YouTube video straight away by talking about the five-day Mr. Olympia conditioning and achievement.

The IFBB pro said, ?CBum wins his fifth Olympia championship title.? He spoke about how the bodybuilding icon also faced an injury just 10 days before the competition but still decided to participate and crushed it. This is when he asked the question, ?The question is, is he now going to retire?? Doucette said that he has already won five titles, and has worked extremely hard on his physique to do so. In this process, the bodybuilder has also faced a lot of injuries along with the autoimmune disease that affects his kidney.

Doucette said, ?I feel like he is going to retire,? because after winning for the fifth time, Bumstead was declaring how special this Competition was for him, and he will cherish the moment. Chris Bumstead was also asked about his future in the interview before the competition.?

Bumstead gives a cryptic answer?

In an?interview with Voice of Bodybuilding, he was asked about his plans for the future, and whether he would be seen in the open division or not. The Olympia champion said, ?It?s such a tough question.? He replied that his plans have not been finalised as of yet and 28 years old felt young which insinuates that he wants a long bodybuilding career and wants to try out many things.

However, he has also pointed out,??The past few weeks, I?ve been in stride.??He also said, ?You feel good. You are tired, but you?re like, ?yeah I?m a bodybuilder.’? He has been dominating the classic physique category for a while now, and after being compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger, he was also asked to go to the open division by his fans.
