During his tenure as a professional bodybuilder as well as a Hollywood entity, Schwarzenegger has transformed his body countless times. While Schwarzenegger has tried and tested various methods for fat loss, he believes that the most effective way to lose extra pounds is to follow a diet that is sustainable over a long period. Quoting this from a study, Arnold wrote in his newsletter“Researchers recently discovered intermittent fasting is just as effective at controlling hunger as other methods of restricting calories.”

Continuing further, he added, “Fasting can work, or if it’s a bad fit and doesn’t fit your lifestyle or eating preferences, then there’s no need to force it. After all, other research has found that fasting is not superior for fat loss compared to other weight loss methods. So pick an approach and assess how long you can follow it.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s typical diet consisted of a lot of protein-rich meals in the form of eggs, fish, chicken, nuts, etc. While following a specific diet was obviously a must for him as a professional athlete, he did not really believe in tracking his caloric intake, according to a YouTube video.

“Arnold also never tracked his macros or calories,” according to the video. Just in case he had to take a cut, Schwarzenegger had one rule he would never break. Nothing in his diet would change completely. Alternatively, the iconic bodybuilder would just consume a smaller portion of his regular diet. He may then enjoy his favorite foods while still maintaining a healthy diet.
