Some actors get into physically demanding roles. However, some get cast because of their physicality. F9 actor Martyn Ford’s formidable 6’8, muscle-bound frame puts him in the latter category. So who better to train former World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall than the 320 lbs bodybuilding giant? So, the two British strength athletes met up for an epic chest workout.

Martyn Ford posted two exclusive clips from his and Eddie Hall’s collab earlier on Instagram. In the clip, the bodybuilder pushed the former pro strongman to his absolute limit inside the gym. It’s not easy to make Eddie Hall quit, but Ford nearly made him. The clip showed the first man to deadlift 1000 lbs, struggling at the chest press and pec deck machine.

Eddie Hall nearly gave up as Ford egged him on to do more pec-fly repetitions. It was a similar story during the pushups as the former WSM winner collapsed on the floor after reaching failure. Even Martyn Ford’s caption carried the intensity of the chest workout. “NO GAMES, NO EXCUSE, NO SHORT CUTS…” wrote the bodybuilder.

“We are here to WORK, TO LEAD, TO SHOW THEM HOW,” he continued. The 41-year-old even teased the strongman in the second clip. “World’s Strongest Man… Can’t do ten pushups,” wrote the f9 actor. However, he later admitted to making Eddie Hall do the pushups after pre-exhausting him on the various chest training machines.

The bodybuilding giant also said that fans will soon enjoy the full video. While Ford didn’t say where the video would get uploaded, we can make an educated guess. The gym where Eddie Hall and Ford trained was dimly lit with red and yellow LEDs. Ford recently trained 21-year-old prodigy Sam Sulek in a similar gym for the Hostile Nutrition YouTube channel. However, the Hall and Ford collab was a long-awaited one.

Eddie Hall and Martyn Ford were supposed to face off

The strongman and the bodybuilder signed up to fight one another inside the octagon earlier his year. Eddie Hall, Martyn Ford, Brian Shaw, and reigning WSM champ Mitchell Hooper joined the MMA tournament, The Finishers Championship, at Doha in February. However, the organizers ghosted the four strength sports stars at the last moment.

Fans were excited to watch the giants compete against one another in MMA. While that never happened, Hall and Ford decided to give the fans what they wanted for months. However, they’ll have to be patient for a little longer as the full video is yet to drop. While Ford shared only snippets of their workout, Eddie Hall’s chest training with Martyn Ford promises to be an intense affair.
