This happened after the gymgoer posted an Instagram video showcasing him performing a bench press with a weight that might scare most people.

In the video, Smaev benched 25 reps of 451 pounds, making it look like child’s play. Smaev weighs a staggering 308 pounds and often lifts immense weight in the gym. But as his recent reel signals his immense strength, will Smaev have a chance against Wheels?

Wheels can bench 605 pounds, squat 810 pounds, and deadlift 855 pounds. He has astonishing records, and there are very few that can match up to him in the fitness world. But this time, things might be different.

While Smaev did a total of 25 reps, the highest number of reps that Wheels ever did were thirty-two reps with 405 pounds this year, breaking his previous record from 2023, which was 20 reps with the same weight. But still, his current PR is forty-six pounds less than Smaev’s.

While this might seem tough for the powerlifter to break. Wheels’ fans have full faith in him and hope he might break the record. While, the powerlifter hasn’t responded to the video yet, his fans are trying to grab his attention by tagging him in the reel.

One fan highlighted that the powerlifter finally got some competition and wrote, “Finally someone who can humble larry.” Another fan gave Wheels a deadline to respond to the video and commented, “Larry wheels has 24h to respond…” Amidst such comments, an Instagram user praised the Russian fitness enthusiast for his immense strength and said, “Bro please forgive us & go back to your planet.”
