Schwarzenegger recently revealed that his perspective on death is quite different from the mainstream belief in the concept of an afterlife. The 7x time Mr. Olympia said that concepts of the prospect of reunion and eternal bliss may sound appealing to many, but they are actually far from reality. “It sounds so good, but the reality is that we won’t see each other again after we’re gone,” he said.

In his latest interview with Interview Magazine, Schwarzenegger recalled a similar conversation that happened with the popular radio host, Howard Stern. Arnold told Stern that once we pass away, we simply rest six feet under, and nothing awaits us beyond death’s door. He argued that once we die, there is no continuation of existence, instead, we find ourselves confined to the earth’s depths. “‘Nothing. You’re 6 feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f—ing liar,'” he said.
