76-year-old former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, celebrated the 20th anniversary of his swearing-in at the Sacramento Press Club. During his public address, the Green Governor spoke about how much he learned during his two terms of public service. While speaking to the public, the actor-turned-philanthropist spoke about working with the best minds from every field as governor. He also compared it to university education and didn’t hesitate to say where he had learned more.

An unforgeable experience for Arnold Schwarzenegger

During his speech, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke about working with people from various fields and learning something every day. “Over there it’s kind of a university,” said the seven-time Mr. Olympia. Schwarzenegger recounted meeting several talented people and experts from fields like fellow leaders, teachers, scientists, law enforcement personnel, and more.

‘Arnie’ discussed policies and got briefings from these experts about various things concerning the state. He discussed the best course of action with them, learned from them, and even debated them on certain accepts. However, looking back at it, Arnie is confident, There is no university in the world that could teach you what I have learned in the seven years.

“You have that many smart people coming through,” said the bodybuilding icon. Schwarzenegger had studied politics since the 70s and gradually worked his way to getting involved with the Republican Party. The 76-year-old had also learned from countless mentors throughout his bodybuilding acting career. In fact, Schwarzenegger also earned a university degree. However, it faded in comparison to what he learned in those two terms as governor. Despite this, Schwarzenegger doesn’t desire to return to politics.

The Green Governor doesn’t want to add to his legacy

Arnold Schwarzenegger brought various reforms during his years as the Governor of California. While all of them haven’t left a mark in the state’s history, some have been revolutionary. Among them were Schwarzenegger’s environmental and infrastructural reforms. However, despite fondly remembering his time as governor, the 76-year-old shut down any possibility of a comeback.

While the Austrian Oak still thinks he would’ve made a great president, the American constitution doesn’t allow an immigrant to run for president. During his speech, the 76-year-old Republican said he wasn’t interested in running for any position. Instead, he would rather have his legacy as governor intact.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had several mentors throughout his life. He took risks, left his homeland, and made it in bodybuilding and Hollywood. However, working with the brightest minds to solve problems was a learning experience like both of his other professions.
