The Power Plate is a revolutionary piece of fitness equipment that utilizes acceleration training to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. This vibrating platform generates high-frequency vibrations that stimulate muscle contractions throughout the body. By amplifying the effect of gravity. the Power Plate forces muscles to work harder and more efficiently, resulting in increased muscle activation and improved neuromuscular response, as claimed by many trainers.
While reacting to Nanjiani’s trainer Grant Roberts, Israetel revealed,?“I used to work on power plate research directly. One research confirmed a benefit of power plate is while you’re on it, you are actually able to be much more flexible when you’re on it. So it’s really fun to do stretches on it.”?
Concluding his statements, Dr. Mike also stated,?“Does it get oxygen into your legs or something? No, absolutely not. That’s f**king absurd. And the power plate by the way, does nothing else.”?He continued by pointing out that with the increasing competition and desire to stand out, trainers often resort to fancy workouts and flashy gimmicks to market themselves.
Mike lists other alternatives to train legs
In the world of fitness, personal trainers often aim to stand out and attract clients by offering unique and unconventional exercises. One such exercise that has gained popularity is the Zercher squat. Many fitness professionals argue that the Zercher squat may not be the most optimal choice for everyone because it places a significant load on the upper back, core, and leg muscles, making it an intense and challenging exercise. Due to this very reason, Mike Israetel didn’t seem too convinced as well when Roberts revealed that Zercher squats were a go-to in Nanjiani’s transformation.

Listing other alternatives for Zercher squats, Dr. Israetel said,?“Doing a back squat or even a front squat or a leg press or hack squat or lunge would be way better stimulus to fatigue ratio for the legs, but it’s not as cool and as far as different and as a trainer I suppose you have to sell yourself as different because the good old usuals just don’t sell training sessions anymore.”
