The presumptive favorite among all the bodybuilding analysts during the Arnold Classic 2023, Nick ‘The Mutant’ Walker, bagged the third position in the show. The defeat came as a rather shock to him, for he had thought otherwise.
However, The Mutant refused to let it affect him and was all set to prep for the next and his most important target, Mr. Olympia 2023. After getting back from Canada, and taking a rest spanning 4 to 5 days, to reset his regime, he took to the online platform YouTube with snippets of his physique update and also shared valuable tips, as he always does with his fans.

Nick Walker shared a video of himself on his YouTube channel during his leg workout for Mr. Olympia 2023, which is 18 weeks away. In the video, we see him doing a quad-dominant workout, where he begins with 10 reps of hamstring curls, 3 sets of leg presses, and 4 reps of reverse leg presses.
Before moving on to his next exercise, he paused to take a water break, taking this as an opportunity to share tips with his followers. He said, “No. 1 tip that I think will help grow quads, which I think have drastically helped grow mine is controlling the weight, contracting the muscle as hard as you can. Doing some sort of full range of motion, but with that, it’s actually, you know it’s okay to do partial reps at the end.”

He emphasized the fact that going heavier weights is the least of concern. What’s more important is if you are contracting the right muscle group. This mirrors the exact same thing that the bodybuilding legends, Kai Greene and Phil Heath, constantly suggest to their followers. The Mutant’s tip resonated with the fitness world and drew their attention toward his video.

The fitness community appreciated the attempt of Nick Walker to share tips for growing monstrous quads with them. They showered his post with comments of appreciation. One of them, taking to his own ideologies and being hit by Walker’s suggestion, wrote, “Excellent advice… damn exactly opposite of what I thought for years… definitely going to experiment with these principles…thank you.” Another one simply said, “Great video and instructions! Thanks”.
Although there were other motivating comments like “A lot of wisdom in this video 👏👏” and “The training philosophy is now very similar to what Kai Green and Phil Heath have said in the past.
