Chris Bumstead was recently seen in a candid conversation with Jordan B Peterson, in one of his YouTube videos. He revealed how sometimes just being in the gym with his music and focus lubricates his solitude for himself to enjoy. Here’s how the environment in his gym boosted his confidence to do better every day.

Chris Bumstead in the video shared how he was lucky enough that he got a quiet gym. With time, he learned that people in the gym were not judging him. That is because everybody present in the gym has been a beginner at some point, and most of them are there to only uplift you.

He said, “So they’re not looking at you making fun of you. They were probably a year or two ago and everyone’s just truly there to help out.” Complimenting the fitness community for being such a great sport, he even added that it is a rather encouraging community because everyone has the same experience from the beginning.

Chris Bumstead in the video even talks about his debut and how he felt to come out professionally into the bodybuilding world in 2017. He shared what it meant to him to make his debut at the age of 22. Chris Bumstead began by stating that there are mainly amateurs in a professional league. However, it changed a lot over the years.

Chris Bumstead explained the structure of hierarchy in Bodybuilding 

Earlier, turning pro was a much bigger deal. This only happens when you compete as an amateur in your city, and then in your state, and then you get to do a national-level show. As soon as you win a National Level show, you get a Pro card. The moment you earn your Pro card, it means starting from the beginning. You’re made to compete against older people who have been in there a lot longer.
