Chris Bumstead is the reigning king of the Classic Physique division. The four-time Mr. Olympia Classic Physique champion took the entire year off after winning the 2022 Mr. Olympia. However, while he recovered and rebuilt during the extended off-season, his rivals Ramon Dino and Urs Kalecinski made headway. Dino won the Arnold Classic 2023. However, it didn’t faze Bumstead.
Around two weeks ago, Chris Bumstead appeared on the Olympia TV YouTube channel. Sitting across from his Brazilian rival Ramon Dino, Bumstead confidently announced he would win the Sandow yet again. Now, after the Canadian bodybuilding icon shared the latest update on his Mr. Olympia prep. CBum’s fans can’t keep calm.

Besides not competing in the Arnold Classic and recovering from a bicep tear, Bumstead hasn’t posted many updates. While he is actively promoting his supplement, Bumstead has kept the physique updates few and far in between. On September 11, however, Bumstead dropped his first physique update. While that was a mirror picture with Bumstead standing far away, this time, he posted a video.
Following the black-and-white theme of his first Olympia physique update, CBum’s video was also in black and white. In the video, the modern bodybuilding icon was doing tricep pushdowns in a tank top and shorts. CBum’s triceps looked impressive, and even though he was sitting down, the champion’s calves looked massive and shredded.

In the following clip, the 28-year-old was performing standing hammer curls with a pair of dumbbells. The second video was also in black and white. CBum didn’t provide any music, voiceover, or caption while posting his latest physique update. While this is his first proper update, Bumstead’s fans are convinced he’ll claim his fifth Mr. Olympia title.
Will CBum look even more impressive this year?
One fan echoed CBum’s confident admission during the Olympia TV interview. “Everyone fighting for second place,” wrote the fan. Another fan deduced that Bumstead started cutting the weight to get in stage-ready shape. “Leaning out, bro’s gonna be a monster,” the fan wrote. “Bros tricep has a tricep,” wrote a shocked fan.
Others noticed that despite sitting down, Chris Bumstead’s calves looked mighty impressive. “Calves say it all,” pointed out one fan. Meanwhile, one fan hoped that Bumstead would someday decide to compete in the open category at least once. “It’d be so sick to see you in open one day,” the fan commented.
