The year 2023 has been extremely surprising for the world of bodybuilding. In various competitions, people have witnessed some spectacular turn of events. However, one competition is still ahead, which is considered the most prestigious event in bodybuilding – Mr. Olympia. Athletes have been passionately preparing to win this upcoming contest.

The Legion Sports Fest Pro was held in Reno, NV in October this year. In this competition, in the Men’s Physique Division, Kyron Holden defeated the Men’s Physique Mr. Olympia winner Erin Banks. This defeat, however, did not affect Banks, as he remains enthusiastic about the upcoming competition.

Banks took to his Instagram to share his perspective on the loss. He shared some images flaunting his chiseled physique and shedding light on how highly motivated he felt.

Banks wrote in his Instagram post, “In life, we don’t just win, we also learn. Every setback is a stepping stone to becoming a champion. I’ve faced my share of losses and challenges, but they’ve only fueled my determination. Each one of my defeats has taught me valuable lessons about resilience and strength.” His choice of words reflects how strong and committed he has been throughout his career. He recognized that every setback in life is an opportunity to get better and improve.

He added, “Now, I’m gearing up to bring my absolute best at Mr. Olympia With every setback, I’ve grown stronger, and I’m ready to show the world what a true champion is made of!” He emphasized the lessons he learned from his defeat. The 35-year-old bodybuilder’s journey was full of hurdles. Despite the obstacles, he chose not to give up on his dreams and continued pursuing his career in the sport.

How Banks became a bodybuilder

The two-time Arnold Classic Men’s Physique was born in Fresno, California. Since his childhood, he has been fascinated by physical activity. Throughout his childhood, he played a variety of sports, including football and basketball.

The 35-year-old bodybuilder was introduced to bodybuilding after he completed his education in college. The sport intrigued him, and he delved deep into it. In just a few years, he began competing in professional competitions. Banks performed the first pro show in 2021. With his incredible talent and extraordinary physique, he garnered fame immediately.
