Dr. Stefi Cohen, a 25-world record holder and powerlifter-turned-boxer, defied the conventional approach and revolutionized her practices. She found a new way to get stronger while also taking good care of her body. She came up with a special method to unlock the key to injury-free training.

Cohen took to her Instagram to talk about this matter and said she initially faced many challenges. Doctors advised her to stop lifting heavy weights completely if she wanted to heal her aching back. Instead of throwing in the towel, she took a different path.

The 31-year-old said in the video, “My doctors told me I needed to stop lifting completely if I wanted to heal my back. I ignored them and continued to lift for the next three years but in excruciating pain.” She realized that she had been too focused on a few specific lifts, neglecting the overall strength of her body.

The breakthrough came when she understood that it wasn’t the movements themselves causing harm but rather the lack of preparation in the surrounding tissues. Cohen’s realization led her to incorporate specific movements into her routine, addressing the weaknesses and imbalances in her body. This became the foundation of what she now calls the “revive method”– a holistic approach to strength training that builds muscle power and safeguards against injuries.

From almost ending her career to achieving 15 more world records, including an astonishing 550 lbs deadlift at 120 lbs body weight, Cohen cracked the code. Now, she is on a mission to share her insights with others, proving that with the right approach, anyone can overcome setbacks, surpass limits, and thrive in their fitness journey. Even in her previous posts, she mentioned how to train less and still have a more positive impact on your body.
