Platz said while exercising, ?You can?t be sane and be a bodybuilder. You have to have that side of you that wants to go into the unknown.? Bodybuilding is not an easy sport with all the diets and rigorous workout regimes, it needs a lot of mental willpower so Platz was correct that bodybuilders might need to be a little insane to gain that incredible glory.

He addressed the younger generation and said that they would, ?Want to experience things everybody doesn?t. You want to address feelings and statements that scare you to fu*** death.? The experience would be scary but in the ‘Quadfather?s’ words, ?But you have to face them head on and go ?well here I go?. Either I?m gonna die or I?m gonna succeed.? His beliefs were always simple: The harder you train the better for your physique. He also loved training his legs and he would be seen squatting with 225 pounds for 10 minutes straight. Even when he is facing a nerve problem in his legs at the age of 68, he still does not give up and works hard for his beliefs.

The Quadfather is an extreme training routine

Muscle building is not an easy process, and whoever has been in the bodybuilding industry will say the same from their own experience. The 68-year-old also trained till failure in his prime years and made an award-winning physique.?

He is known as the ‘Quadfather’ and ‘Quadzilla’ because of his 30-inch thighs that he acquired from training failure. ?I?ve been doing 50s all the time. It was crazy like somebody was stabbing knives in my quads,??he said, talking about the number of reps he used to do.?
