People are very health conscious nowadays, and concerned about mental and physical well-being. The world has also seen a lot of young people having heart attacks and diabetes, which is very concerning. Owing to such circumstances, and advertisements from fitness magazines, people have now started to have the notion that red meat can cause diabetes.

The Austrian Oak recently talked about the same issue in his newsletter and gave a proper scientific breakdown of what is happening. He started the newsletter with a question, ?Does Red Meat Cause Diabetes?? The 76-year-old legend then went straight to the point, and said, ?New accusations are floating around about the dangers of red meat. But everything might not be as it seems.?

He also revealed that a scientific study suggested that red meat increases the risk of diabetes, but he also added that people have not understood the entire story. According to the bodybuilding champion, this particular study was based on the review of more than 200,000 participants. The experiment focused on male and female nurses, and there are factors for chronic disease. The study found that eating meat whether it is processed or unprocessed was associated with the risk of diabetes.

He said, ?In particular, those who ate the most meat were 62 percent more at risk, those who ate more unprocessed meat had a 40 percent elevated risk, and eating processed meat led to a 51 percent higher likelihood.? He also concluded that the media made it an open and shut case and “it’s inaccurate.”. Schwarzenegger said that the people who had diabetes after eating red meat also had higher levels of body fat and consumed more calories while being less active. Arnie did not oppose that extreme amounts of red meat will not cause health risks, which is why he also eats a plant-based diet while enjoying some red meat. Lastly, he suggested that the consumption of red meat can be balanced by eating fish and having other changes to your routine as well. He previously shared his plant-based diet as well with his fans.

In response to a fan query, the Austrian oak had shared his suggestions for a plant-based diet. ?Every night I eat a cucumber salad with pumpkin seed oil and a vegetable soup,? he suggested. He also shared that pumpkin seed oil was very famous in his home country Austria, and it was also delicious at the same time.

Arnie also shared his recipe for a protein smoothie, which is a combination of fruits and whey protein. He showed the process on YouTube blending cherry juice, banana, plant-based whey protein, and some water.
