The video showed Frank using a different kind of squatting device, on which he did squats. The machine is called the Leg Blaster. He was teaching the method of using it to two other bodybuilders. Zane described the machine and demonstrated how to use it.?“I call it the leg blaster, and I squatted heavy for many years; towards the end, I started getting knee and lower back injuries. This device enables you to squat hands-free,”?he said.

While squatting down, Zane used his hands to hold on to the rods in front while two weights were attached to his torso. The IFBB pro emphasized,?“You go rock bottom and then not quite up.”?When Frank?s pupils asked whether he was pulling himself up via his hands, he said,?“I don?t wanna pull myself up with my arms; it’s just like hooks, holding on.”

This Leg Blaster mimics a front squat, allowing the targeting of quads without engaging the lower part of the back and in a safe way. The Leg Blaster, originally patented by James E. Moore, has been marketed by Zane for a long time. It comprises two sets of equipment. A harness is worn by lifters, along with a set of handles to hold on to. This handle allows the bodybuilder to neutralize the back and engage the quads. Zane has always advocated for the right kind of training and even bought the patent for the Leg Blaster to provide better equipment to bodybuilders. He even came up with a technique to train all body parts with one dumbbell.

Previously, Zane talked about something that could work?wonders for dedicated bodybuilders. He explained a process called unilateral weight training that could be more effective to give a proportional body on both sides.

Zane said,?“Unilateral weight training means training one side of the body at a time and might give even more progress than working both sides simultaneously. This means you can train almost all body parts with one dumbbell, but it takes twice as long.”
