The 81-year-old God of Aesthetics, Frank Zane, is still active in his fitness ventures. Defying all odds of old age, the former bodybuilder has now emphasized why aerobics should be a necessary aspect of one’s fitness journey. As Zane explained why he does it every week, he also looked to inspire the fitness community to add it to their routine for health benefits.

While Zane did reveal how Aerobics is good for one’s health, he also warned that if bodybuilders or fitness enthusiasts have their own goals of muscle growth, then they might have to be cautious about doing aerobics in a certain way.

Through his latest post on Instagram, Zane talked about how he includes aerobics in his fitness routine. He said, “I try to get one to two hours of total aerobic time every week from riding a stationary bike and walking. Balancing aerobics with weight training is essential for good overall results combining strength and endurance.”

Moreover, the bodybuilder further added that aerobics might not end up being a great option for those who wish to grow their muscle. Frank Zane remarked how doing too much aerobics might not really help those who are into bodybuilding. “Too much aerobic activity will increase definition but will not enhance overall muscle growth,” he explained.

Zane’s aerobics tip is just one among the many tips that he has imparted to the fitness community. Earlier, the three-time Mr. Olympia winner had shed light on training with one dumbbell, something that many on their fitness journeys would have heard for the first time.

The God of Aesthetic who once defeated Arnold Schwarzenegger, had earlier revealed how they can effectively perform weight training. Zane brought up the “Unilateral Weight training.” “Unilateral weight training means training one side of the body at a time and might give even more progress than working both sides simultaneously,” he claimed.

Drawing a conclusion from this, Zane also suggested training all parts of the body with only one dumbbell. Yet this also has a con of its own. “This means you can train almost all body parts with one dumbbell, but it takes twice as long,” he confessed.
