Get ready as Coleman provides honest commentary on El Campeon’s lifting style, delving into the nuances of proper technique and form. Known for his candid feedback, Coleman offers his insights on El Campeon’s “Extreme EGO Lifting.”
Coleman has taken to his YouTube channel and posted a video titled “Ronnie Coleman REACTS to EL CAMPEON’S Extreme EGO Lifting,” and it doesn’t seem like the eight-time Mr. Olympia winner has held back in his critique of El Campeon’s lifting form.
The eight-time Mr. Olympia expressed disbelief at the sight of El Campeon attempting a staggering 720 lbs lift. He questioned the necessity of the numerous knee wraps adorning El Campeon’s legs. Coleman further dismissed the lifts as “half reps” and emphasized that they weren’t actually effective, but rather a waste of time.

Throughout the video, Coleman encouraged El Campeon to improve his form and range of motion, urging him to go deeper into his squats and lifts. Despite some slight improvements in form during a hack squat attempt, Coleman remained unimpressed, noting the excessive weight and lack of proper technique.
As the video progressed, the King observed El Campeon’s workout at an LA Fitness gym, where he acknowledged some full-range movements, albeit with room for improvement. However, his criticism remained firm, labeling the fitness sensation as one of the worst examples of an “ego lifter” he has ever seen.
Coleman delivered a straightforward assessment of El Campeon’s lifting, highlighting the importance of proper form and full range of motion for effective workouts. That being said, Coleman doesn’t always criticize those engaging in lifting. Earlier, the legend showcased his amazement as he saw a powerlifter with satisfactory lifting techniques.
