In the Q&A session with Chris Bumstead, Hany Rambod brings up Valliere’s conclusion about his journey in the industry. However, instead of any smirking, teasing comments, Rambod is seen talking sincerely about the retired bodybuilding star. He remarks,?“It takes so much self-awareness to be able to do that. Yeah, so kudos to you, Iain, for being able to do that.”
Furthermore, Hany also complimented Valliere’s sense of self-awareness. He believes Iain has been one of his kind without having the slightest bit of ego within him. He remarks that Valliere is very different from other great bodybuilders. Hany Rambod says,?“So many other people, their egos are so big, and they’re so narcissistic that they don’t allow themselves to really understand.”
The four-time?Mr. Olympia?title holder, Chris Bumstead’s brother-in-law, Iain Valliere, has coached him ever since he started his career. The bond between these two bodybuilding stars has always been so intimate that a separation was needed.
Chris Bumstead on changing his coach
In one of the interviews,?Chris confessed?that he urgently needed to change his coach, and the reason wasn’t someone could imagine. It certainly hasn’t happened because Valliere wasn’t making enough contributions to CBum’s journey. Instead, it was the opposite scenario that had concerned him. For a while, when Bumstead noticed that Valliere had been paying more attention to his career than his own, CBum felt that a separation would be the only resolution for saving Iain’s bodybuilding career. The bond they had created, professionally and personally, has to be one of the greatest coach-student ones.

The sport of bodybuilding can be easily compared to a competitive race, where many people can get easily lost amidst ambitions and naivety. Self-awareness is thus quite important.
