Four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler was one of the few bodybuilders who took micro-managing their diets to the extreme. Throughout his bodybuilding career, the former champion spent millions on diet. Yes, you read that right! The man who dethroned Ronnie Coleman bought ridiculous amounts of food. At times, the 50-year-old ate 140 eggs to gain enough muscle to match Coleman’s size on stage.

Earlier, former Mr. Universe winner Milos Sarcev, Cutler’s friend, reposted a clip of the former Mr. Olympia. Cutler mentioned the massive quantities of food he bought during each grocery run. Sarcev also posted a screenshot of the conversation he had with Cutler regarding his diet. During their conversation, Cutler admitted to making a diet-related mistake.

After hearing the bodybuilding icon list of everything he bought, Milos Sarcev texted the Comeback Kid. “You don’t need so much protein,” Sarcev told the bodybuilder. “LOL, 50 carbs a day,” responded the 50-year-old, probably hinting that his diet was extremely high in protein. Cutler further admitted to overdoing his protein intake.

“So protein was too high, no one should eat over 350 grams a day,” the three-time Arnold Classic winner texted Sarcev. The bodybuilder said even if someone is the biggest bodybuilder in the world, they don’t need 350 grams of protein per day to maintain and grow muscle mass. However, Sarcev had a clever response for the former Mr. Olympia.

“Unless you wanna be four times Mr. Olympia,” said the Serbian bodybuilding coach. Sarcev also teased Cutler because of their recent conversation on protein intake during an episode of the Cutler Cast after Cutler admitted to eating a maximum of 400 grams of protein.

In response, Sarcev said he could find a past interview where Cutler admitted to eating 500 grams, while Ronnie Coleman said he ate 600 grams. Regardless of the real protein intake, Jay Cutler was obsessed with his diet during his prime.

The 50-year-old went outside twice a day, but only to train in the gym. Whenever he wasn’t working out or sleeping, Cutler prepared his meals.
