David, a bodybuilding aspirant and fitness influencer, recently shared a similar workout on his Instagram. His video revealed that he was going for the legend?s leg day, with glimpses of how brutal the exercises were for him.?

As per the source, a brief snippet surfaced earlier this month, featuring a young athlete powering through The Quadfather?s legday. After an initial glimpse of the star athlete?s prime days, David remarked, ?It’s gonna be the dumbest sh*t I did in my entire life.? Eventually, he kick-started the 67-year-old legend?s regime with squats of 10 sets and 20 reps.?

Going through a tough time after the first few sets, David confessed that it got really difficult towards the end. ?I?m still alive,? he said moments before going through complete failure around the 8-10 sets session. This workout was followed by Platz?s iconic hack squats and leg extensions with an overwhelming number of sets and reps.?

Therefore, a snippet of Platz imparting his gym motivation was presented. ?I promised myself as a little boy that I?d never leave the gym knowing I have 5% left. If you don?t take the last 5%. You have to be happy the rest of your life knowing it went to somebody else?s door and?you could?ve been that guy. It’s up to you,? he could be heard saying in the video. Whereas the caption of the post acknowledged David?s effort, revealing he ?survived? Tom Platz?s leg day. However, there?s one move that the Golden era bodybuilder advised that he?d rather avoid.?

A YouTube short that surfaced on the platform months ago revealed the star athlete?s concerns related to deadlifts. ?I think the deadlifts people do, too much risk. I can milk it out of leg curls for ya. I can do staffs that?s less risk, even better results,? he said. Platz shared the reason for steering away from deadlifts. Around the 70s, he lifted heavy but back problems eventually caught up to him.?

Thus, it made him go, ?let?s forget about it.? He further added that it?s ?too risky.” Even though the IFBB pro pointed out that almost every workout has its benefit-to-risk ratio, deadlifts were not worth the risk.?
