Ultramarathon athlete and author Ross Edgley has astounded countless people from all over the globe with his insane world records. The man crossed the whole of Great Britain, becoming the first swimmer to do so. However, in order to make this dream a reality, apart from swimming alone, he indulges in other fitness activities as well, to keep his body prepared.

Edgley maintains an active social media presence and shares the happenings of his daily life with his fans over social media. In his recent Instagram post, he could be seen rock climbing as part of his conditioning routine. However, the post received a lot of attention from the fitness world who couldn’t resist from applauding his ripped physique.

Thanks to his years of ventures in the realm of swimming, Edgley has built an insane amount of muscle mass. What many people fail to realize is that swimming is a full-body workout and can help build muscle over time. As Edgley recently went rock climbing, he posted a few images from his session, and wrote in the caption, “Awesome few days at @lborouniversity testing consulting their sports science genius! Revealed still LOTS more work to be done on the power-to-weight ratio… HUGE 4-week training bloc ahead to get back to my “rope/rock climbing” conditioning days.”

As Ross looked pretty lean in the pictures, he admitted, “Not sure what my body fat was in this picture, but remember being so powerful with bodyweight movements and conditioning.”
