In 2018, the weightlifting magician lifted 2275 lbs combined in bench press, back squat, and deadlift. Additionally, Wheels’ transparency about steroid use sets him apart from other bodybuilders. In a recent podcast, the social media icon made some hard-hitting confessions about his addictions.

The powerlifter is a talented individual who fought hard to overcome his childhood circumstances. Wheels took up bodybuilding to fight bullies in his neighborhood. However, he remained committed to the rigor of training long after, brick by brick, increasing his strength. Once things got better, the son of a single mother even moved to Dubai to work on his international presence. While everything was going well career-wise, he struggled with a habit that proved costly and was also mentally and emotionally taxing.
Wheels revealed to the host Flex Lewis that he would spend large amounts of money on deep corners of the web, attributing the tendency to an “addiction.” Reportedly, the powerlifter suffered from an issue. He said, “P*** addiction is only way worse because now money is involved, right, paying for videos and photos, and then you would think, why is someone like me, you know, that has a girlfriend right, that doesn’t have a problem having a s** partner find myself on those websites?” He further added, ” Well, the truth is, when you’re on TRT, when you’re on Cycle, your li**** is through the roof.”
So when the host asked what one thing Wheels would like to teach his younger self, the athlete responded, “Don’t watch p***. Never watch p***. Don’t watch p***.” The fitness icon reportedly took help from his ex-girlfriend and, later, fiancee by giving them access to his accounts so they could keep an eye on him.
By divulging details of these deep-seated truths, the 29-year-old bodybuilder is proving his bravery off-court as well. It takes a lot of courage to be open about such things at the start of a career. Moreover, it has not been a smooth ride for the weightlifter, as he suffered from Rhabdo a few weeks earlier.
Wheels fought a life-threatening disease
Larry Wheels had informed his fans from the emergency room that he was suffering from a life-threatening condition called rhabdomyolysis. He wrote on the Instagram post, “I fk*d around and got Rhabdo. Lightheaded af.” It is a medical condition caused by overexertion of the body or heat exposure. The tissues leak into the bloodstream, affecting the kidneys and liver. Thankfully, Wheels is back and looks recovered.
