“If you are using lighter weights, you can rest less between sets. Don’t waste time daydreaming or talking between sets and you’ll be done in less than an hour,” the 81-year-old fiercely suggested. Zane is one of the Golden-era bodybuilders who trained in the Gold’s gym six days a week, along with elite bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu. Despite short workout periods and light weights, Zane ensured that his training ended with a pump, daily.
During the rest intervals, Zane preaches to do ten different stretches that have some relaxing and recovering effect on the body. The Chemist suggests that each stretch should last 15-20 seconds. Stretching also helps in injury prevention, flexibility, and longevity. While many restore to sleep for rest, Zane mastered the art of meditation to recover after an intense workout session.
