And from sharing his friend’s weight loss journey to his own fitness routine, Wahlberg has been honest with his followers. 

The fitness icon once had something to say about football legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness commercial. He claimed that the 38- year-old didn’t acquire his ripped avatar by following the technique shown in one of the commercials he did.

In a clip shared by Modern Hustlers from a 2021 episode of The Graham Norton Show, titled, “Mark Wahlberg on Cristiano Ronaldo,” The Italian Job star confessed his thoughts on a fitness commercial featuring the popular football player. “I saw a commercial today on TV here with Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s probably one of the most physical specimens on the planet,” The Departed actor said. 

The ad features the 5x Ballon d’Or award winner with a belly belt and arm belt shaking to turn into a great shape. Sharing his thoughts on Ronaldo’s commercial, Walhberg opined, “With this ab machine and this bicep machine standing there in his underwear and he’s just going like this, shaking with his eyes closed, I don’t think that’s how he got in shape.”

Mark Wahlberg believes in training hard at the gym to mold the body into its finest shape and doesn’t encourage such fitness methods. Hence he cheers people who choose the hard way to become fit. Earlier, the American actor was seen celebrating his friend’s weight loss journey at the gym.

The Fighter actor shares his friend’s fitness story

In one of his 4:00 A.M gym sessions, the actor was accompanied by Michael Fires. The former musician shared a video detailing Fires’ success story. The latter reached 214.9 lbs on the weighing scale that day. His journey started at 280 lbs. 

“4 am club @municipal from 280 to 215 the scale doesn’t lie!!” Wahlberg captioned his Instagram post. The 52-year-old fitness enthusiast was proud of his friend and encouraged his followers to be serious about their fitness journey.
