Some actors become irreplaceable as certain characters because they portray them with unwavering conviction. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is one of those actors. Fans mourned Jackman’s decision to walk away from the role. However, when the opportunity for Wolverine’s return came, they couldn’t accept anyone other than the Aussie. Despite being 55, Jackman embraced the sheer physical challenge of getting into Wolverine shape for Deadpool 2. An important factor why people loved Jackman as Wolverine was because of the bodybuilding transformation he went through. From putting on muscle to getting extremely shredded, the actor took on the challenge and has done so again at 55. However, the fitness community pointed out a flaw in Hugh Jackman’s latest update.

The Les Misérables star uploaded a video of himself repping bicep curls in the gym. The person behind the camera showed off the 55-year-old’s arm gains from every angle. Despite being well beyond his physical prime, the actor’s Wolverine transformation seems to be going great. Jackman’s arms looked pumped with some good vascuarity.

However, eagle-eyed fitness enthusiasts noticed the lack of muscle in the actor’s legs. While the 55-year-old’s arms looked great, his legs lagged behind noticeably, at least while sitting down. While it’s true that the X-Men star’s lower body currently lags behind his upper body, several factors are at play here. Jackman stopped bodybuilding after he hung up the Wolverine mask. Since the actor is 55, he might be just focusing on developing the aesthetic muscles, and padding takes care of the rest. We’ll just have to wait and watch.
