And Joseph Baena, son of bodybuilding veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger, is deep into fitness just like his father. 

In a recently shared humorous TikTok video, Baena depicts the struggles of working out on a Friday night amidst all the people around him who are looking forward to relaxing and having a party.

Countless individuals can relate to Baena’s recent TikTok video, where he shared his struggles with working out on a weekend. After a stressful and busy week, people often give in to the temptation of socializing and relaxation, skipping their training sessions. Posting a TikTok on this topic, Baena jokingly wrote in the caption, “I know what I have to do, but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it.”

The voiceover on the video said, “Oh come on…I know you. You know you. And I know you know that I know you.” Explaining the context, the text on the video reads, “My inner dialogue when doing cardio on a Friday night and the “let’s go out” texts start rolling in…”

Baena’s video depicts the struggles of exactly knowing what needs to be done but still feeling the temptation to reside with the easier option. The battle of motivation is one that every lifter struggles with at times. However, it is essential to stay on track and not divert from your goal very often. After all, it is a lifter’s consistency that leads him to his dream physique. While Baena feels this temptation to take an off from the gym every once in a while, he revealed recently that he feels ‘crazy’ when he finally takes a day off.

Why doesn’t Baena take rest days? 

Comparison is indeed the thief of joy. And social media is a platform that makes things even worse. Continuous comparison to other influencers or entities can make an individual feel insecure about the way he or she looks. Making things worse, as the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, people have high expectations of Baena’s physique. He admitted a while ago that he stressed out even thinking of a rest day.

Talking about this, Baena admitted, “If I skip a day…I really do suffer from that…like mental state when I skip a day, I’m going crazy, like I can see that in the body, even though nothing’s happened…but I’m like…”
