Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera has become the talk of the town in recent weeks. The bodybuilder with a massive neck earned his pro card after winning the Amateur version 2023 EVLS Prague Pro. A day later, Mosquera competed in the pro show and placed third behind 2023 Mr. Olympia Bronze medalists Samson Dauda and Michael Krizo. The talented Neckzilla is already getting compared to bodybuilding greats, namely Ronnie Coleman.
Earlier, former Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson and bodybuilding veteran Dexter Jackson discussed Mosquera’s potential on The Menace Podcast. The bodybuilding veterans pointed out 280 lbs Mosquera’s mass monster-like physique and compared him with the eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. Rubiel Mosquera’s placing third against two of the best bodybuilders in the world in his pro debut shocked the bodybuilding world. Besides a wide neck, Mosquera also has massive quads and arms. Earlier, the bodybuilder drew comparisons with Big Ramy because of his massive quads. However, during the podcast, hosts Dennis James and Milos Sarcev asked Mosquera’s coach, Chris Cormier, if he is “next Ronnie (Coleman).”
While Cormier didn’t directly answer the question, things changed after guest Dexter Jackson joined. The former Mr. Olympia and Cormier explained with proper training, diet, and experience, Mosquera has the potential to become the next Ronnie Coleman. However, bodybuilding fans were not ready to compare Neckzilla with the arguable GOAT of bodybuilding.

One fan thought Cormier might be biased because he coaches Mosquera. “Chris Cormier definitely lost his mind,” the fan wrote. Another fan commented on Neckzilla’s lack of aesthetic appeal. “And his waist is the size of Texas,” joked the fan. One fan seemed outraged at the veterans for thinking Neckzilla could stack up the eight-time champion. “How the f**k can you, and dare you, compare him with Ronnie?” wrote the fan.

Besides winning eight consecutive Mr. Olympia titles, Ronnie Coleman was the first bodybuilder to win the Arnold Classic and Olympia in the same year. Only time will tell if Neckzilla can challenge The King.
