They appreciate him for his candid views on a variety of subjects. Rogan was very open about his thoughts and didn’t fear to opine on various topics. Thus, he shared an old video of him discussing fitness and bodybuilding.

In his throwback video, He shared his opinion on bodybuilders and their use of muscle-enhancing drugs. The video was uploaded to his YouTube channel, Joe Rogan Experience podcast, along with a Portuguese journalist, Maria van Zeller.

Joe Rogan recalled an incident with bodybuilders

In this podcast video, they talked about their exposure to bodybuilding. Rogan shared a story about when he visited Venice Beach. You can see the giant men who called themselves bodybuilders. They didn’t look natural at all because of their use of steroids to get a chiseled body.

The MMA fanatic said, “If you go to like a Gold’s Gym in Venice in the heyday when all the elite bodybuilders would go there, they don’t even look like humans. They look like walls with feet”. According to him, these bodybuilders were so muscular and big that they didn’t look like regular people anymore. Because their bodies were huge and muscular.

Rogan also mentioned a female bodybuilder. “Her neck is like my neck but her traps are even bigger than mine, They start like here, they go straight down her shoulders were massive. She sounded like the rock.” He said that the woman has the same height and weight as his. he, further said that her neck was similar to his, but her upper back muscles(traps) were even bigger than his, and her shoulders were also huge. he said in the video that she even sounded like the Actor Dywane Johnson. The stand-up comic pointed out that these people are obsessed with having a monstrous body.

The results of using steroids shocked Maria

He found it very strange and unusual to see people so obsessed with building their bodies like that. “It was so strange to see this weird obsess it’s they’re like sculptors right and in a way it is kind of an art form totally but what they’re doing is freakish but they’re all into it“, said Rogan. He outlined that these individuals are like artists in some way as they sculpt their bodies. She went to see a contest in Las Vegas, where she met a 19-year-old boy named Zach, who was competing. After completing the first round Dr. Tony Huge, who is famous in the fitness community.
