Joey posted a snippet of a TikTok video of a woman on Twitter who was complaining about a man staring at her. The woman was filming her workout when the incident happened. She continued to do a set of lat pull-down exercises while also narrating to her listeners her ordeal. She said, “I really don’t know why this man is staring at me, I am pretty sure because he fancies me or he is a weirdo…. Let’s go….. Do you see him? He gives me hijiiiii bijiiiieess.” The fitness influencer captioned the video, “If you’re going to act like your workout is a movie production, don’t be upset if people look at you.”

He further adds, pointing to a very common trend in today’s generation: ” Or maybe he is looking at you because you have an entire film production set up at the gym with a tripod, camera a microphone and you are talking to yourself while you work out. He is looking at you, wondering, what in the world is she doing.” The social media sensation has raised a very important issue, showcasing the generation gap between the previous generation and Gen Zs.
Swoll thinks the older generation is not comfortable with so much online attention
According to Swoll, in today’s world, the new generation is very comfortable sharing every aspect of their lives on social media. The notion of what constitutes private and public has gone through a drastic evolution. However, the older generation finds many of these behavior patterns strange. Referring to this cultural spasm, Swoll tells the woman in the video, “….you all have to understand the older generations they don’t really understand nor do they like this filming at the gym especially when you are filming your entire workout.”

As a warning, Swoll asks the woman to check her own actions first before calling someone else out. He says, “Just ask yourself, am I doing something that would make people look at me, not to mention, aren’t you filming this to post on social media for the entire world to see? You need to do better. Mind your own business!”
