Eddie Abbew, the 60 YO IFBB Pro bodybuilder recently shared a video on his official Instagram account and stated that the term ‘high protein’ is just used for marketing purposes. They just adulterate the item, and make people ‘fall for the sh*t’ with their advertising. According to him, all of these food items, including milk that claims to be high in protein should not be consumed even in moderation. He advises his followers to get all their protein from animal sources.

However, the IFBB Pro fitness coach Greg Doucette begged to differ with Eddie Abbew’s idea. He shared a video putting forth his opinions with proof on the same platform two days ago. He began by addressing Eddie Abbew and his two-and-a-half million followers and gave them a detailed comparison of the two packages.

He said, “High Protein milk does not have more sugar and it doesn’t have more other cr*p that he kept saying. There’s no sh*t in it extra.” Reading the back of the cartons, he even pointed out that the protein milk has 9 grams of sugar, while the regular has 12 grams. On the other, the protein milk has 18 grams of protein and the regular one has 9. Regular packaged milk even has more calories than protein.

Thus, he stated, “This one is better for you. It didn’t add sh*t when they added extra milk solids. It’s extra milk solids.” All they do is add more milk solids in the protein-rich milk and that is why it is healthier than regular milk. Greg Doucette never shies away from criticizing entities taking up the wrong stance in the fitness world. With all the things that Eddie Abbew has been posting about protein consumption and promoting modernized milk, he even made another video earlier, giving him a direct answer!

Greg Doucette’s advice to Eddie Abbew

Greg Doucette in another video that he posted earlier, made a comparison between the modernized milk that the fitness icon states are good for him and the protein-rich milk, that he says is so bad. Listing down the ingredients, he stated that both of them have the same amount of calories, but the modernized milk that he preaches has 8 grams of fat while the protein-rich milk has only 1 gram of fat.

Elaborating and directly tagging Abbew, Doucette even wrote,Pay attention @eddie_abbew drinking low-fat milk or high protein milk does not mean that they’re taking out all the fat and adding in a bunch of sugar and just because they have added milk solids doesn’t mean that it’s sh*t.” Well, the argument has been going on and off for a long time now, and both of them seem to be rock solid with their stance.
