In the recent podcast named ‘Rich Critiques C-Bum?s Physique’ which was uploaded on the Dragon Slayer Media YouTube channel, both Rich Gaspari and John Romano talked about the critique of Chris Bumstead’s physique.

Classic Physique contenders mainly lack muscle density according to Gaspari. When he was giving his critique of Bumstead’s physique, he mentioned that his arms were a particular area of weakness. He stated, “Even in Classic, I don?t want to tune my own heart, you look at my physique when I won the 86 Pro Worlds, the density in that muscle, first of all, it was never seen those striations. Then, you look at guys that are winning now in Classic, they don?t even have that look, that crazy look. They have great symmetry, small waist.”?

Furthermore, he said, “You got Chris Bumstead, a really small waist. The one thing about Chris he doesn?t have huge arms, kind of weak in the arm size but really good double biceps. You see how he looks with the vacuum, good legs, but he doesn?t have big arms. That class is very very hard.?

Requirements for Bumstead to win Open Mr. Olympia

Rich Gaspari outlined the requirements for Bumstead to have a chance at winning the Open Mr. Olympia title, considering his current physique and genetic makeup. He stated, “At least 40 pounds [he?d need to win Open Mr. Olympia]. Yeah, at least 40 pounds. He said it. He was like, ?I?ll have to be 40 pounds bigger to be competitive with these guys and how do I know I?m going to look right?? Because, you know, when you gain that muscle it may not necessarily look the way he looks now with the streamlined look that he has. It may not look the same.”

Gaspari said, “To really look good in Classic bodybuilding you need small bone structure, small waist, you need a wide clavicle, there?s a lot of factors that makes a good Classic bodybuilder. You can?t take a Jay Cutler and make him a classic bodybuilder.??

Chris Bumstead also posted on his Instagram saying, ?I?m almost never the biggest guy in the gym, and I wouldn?t have it any other way.?
