In recent times, Dr. Mike Israetel has been on a tirade pointing out all the flaws and misconceptions that celebrities follow in their fitness routine. After critiquing Chris Hemsworth, Israetel is back again to scrutinize the problems with the fitness regime followed by Hugh Jackman while he prepared for his role as Wolverine.

The exercise scientist with a PhD explains how Hollywood often avoids basics and tries out more complex exercises which ultimately do not yield optimum results. Israetel explained what Jackman could have actually done instead of following the figure 8 lunges routine that he engaged in. Let us see what Israetel recommended.

Dr. Mike Israetel explained in his video that taking one dumbbell in one hand at a time might not be the most effective way of doing lunges. He stated, “I got a great solution to this is take one dumbbell in each hand, at the same time. Both hands have dumbbells, it auto balances you and now you can do walking lunges.” He also suggested how it helps in making fitness enthusiasts focus on their lunges more.

The exercise expert also claimed that passing around the dumbbell between both hands while engaging in lunges did not help either. He declared ruthlessly, “This pass around the f*cking b*llsh*t around the back, Fade Away J sh*t doesn’t f*cking do anything it’s a waste of cognitive bandwidth it has extra complexity.”

After talking about Hugh Jackman’s routine, Dr. Mike Israetel explains what “peak Hollywood” truly looked like according to him.

In his video, Israetel tried to define how Hollywood works in terms of fitness regimes. He proceeded to poke fun at the fact that the industry only makes things look fancy, while not engaging in proper work.

According to Israetel, what Hollywood does is “Take some sh*t that works, dilute it, add in a sprinkle of bullsh*t that looks fancy, and you sell in Hollywood water to rich people”. He then teased that this was “a good business”.
